The week commencing 21 April marked a <a>peak search period to these destinations from <\/a><a href=\"#_msocom_1\">[ES1]<\/a>\u00a0Jeddah and Riyadh, reflecting the growing interest in regional travel during the holiday season.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The growing interest to travel during Eid is reflected by a steady rise in demand compared to previous years. Data shows searches for travel during Eid rose by over 14% year-on-year in February and by 20% in March, highlighting the increasing enthusiasm amongst Saudi residents to travel during the festive break.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Short trips continue to be preferred, driven by the convenience and ease of exploring neighbouring cities. With families and individuals looking to maximise their time over the long weekend, quick and accessible destinations within Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region are proving to be the most popular.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The timing of Eid Al-Adha \u2013 also coincides just before the start of the busy summer travel period \u2013 appears to be shaping travel choices this year, especially with school terms still ongoing and holidays yet to begin.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Ayoub El Mamoun, Travel Expert at Skyscanner, said<\/strong>: \u201cWith the Eid holidays offering a long weekend before the full summer break begins, Saudi travellers are taking advantage of the opportunity to explore destinations closer to home.
