THERE’S A NEW BURGER JOINT IN TOWN: i am Burger

Having garnered itself quite the reputation since opening in 2020, this home-grown burger brand offers some of the most delicious double patties in the city, with freshly hand cut fries every other day and just the right amount of special burger sauce you do not want to miss.  

Founder of i am Burger, Rishad Hiridjee started making burgers in his own kitchen, after gaining the approval of his friends and neighbors he decided that it was time to deliver to the masses with his first casual dining restaurant in Media City. Following the grand opening Hiridjee says “It’s no secret that fresh is not the same as frozen. So, the only way to make real American French fries is to bring the potatoes from the USA and make it fresh every other day. I’m passionate about delivering the best  burgers and am very grateful to my team, friends and family that have supported this dream.”

You may have tasted The Chief at What the Food in Alserkal Avenue earlier this year, or at the Christmas market in Measiem City in previous years and now the full menu is available in Media City as well as on local delivery applications. Open Monday to Saturday from 11:30am -10:00pm, guests can enjoy beef, chicken, or plant-based patty options with a side of hand cut fries and a variety of milkshake options. If it’s the first visit, it is suggested that “I Am Chief” be enjoyed first before making the way across all the burgers. Or if you are feeling adventurous the “I am Spicy Sasha” is the way to go; either way, there will be repeat visits.

I am Chief – The burger that started it all, named after Chief the rescue mixed breed dog filled with caramelized onions, beef bacon, cheese and the famous Chief sauce. Option to make it plant based.

I am Cheese – The better way to eat a cheeseburger with all the usual fixings and toppings. Option for plant based.

I am Marley – Can’t decide between sweet or savory? Well, this bomb of a burger gives both filled with peanut butter and jelly and double beef patties.

I am Chicken – A perfect crispy chicken to smoothen any sorrow with homemade pickles, mayo and cheese in every bite.

I am Spicy Sasha – The newest creation inspired by Sasha the husky with all the fixings of “I am Chicken” with a little hint of sweet and spiciness.
