Since opening, Shangri-La Jeddah has quickly become the city’s new dining destination with a variety of lifestyle restaurants set to compete with the best-in-class stand-alone concepts in the city. This includes the Award-winning Chinese Restaurant Shang Palace, home to soulful and modern Chinese cuisine, and The Waterfront Kitchen, which offers a unique panoramic view of the Jeddah waterfront.

Experience soulful and modern Chinese cuisine with Shang Palace’s new menu items

Shang Palace unveils exciting new additions to its menu of authentic Chinese cuisine. Diners can embark on a gastronomic journey of the senses through Sichuan, Yunnan and Cantonese dishes with unique local twists that pay homage to its residence along the Red Sea. Shang Palace combines traditional techniques gained through the brand’s 50-year heritage with new-generation energy and creativity to deliver an experience like no other in Jeddah and the best authentic Chinese food in the city.

The new menu features delicacies including a Roasted Wagyu Sirloin Steak, served with Hong Kong Oriental BBQ sauce and Sous Vide Herbal Soy Beef Shank, served with cucumber, chili, garlic and vinegar. Guests can also indulge in a delicate Lobster Salad, served with micro greens and spicy Yuzu dressing, or Crispy Butter Cereal Chicken, with chili and curry leaf seasoning. For a sweet ending, a Chocolate Xiao Long Bao will tempt chocolate lovers, while a decadent Passion Fruit Crème Brulé will have diners returning time and time again for more. To complement the meal, visitors can discover a new selection of artfully concocted beverages from the resident mixologist, including Signature Negroni, Black Diamond and Butterfly Gimlet.

Indulge in an ‘All You Can Eat’ dim sum at the Dim Sum Yum brunch

Families can head to the signature Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace to celebrate joyful moments with their loved ones at the popular Dim sum Yum Brunch. every Friday and Saturday with an extension of time to be from 1:00PM to 6:00 PM. Guests can indulge in a menu offering all you can eat dim sum, a main dish, choice of noodles, rice, and dessert, accompanied with a fine selection of Chinese tea, for SAR 188 per person.

Traditionally, Dim Sum, translating to ‘touch the heart’ in Chinese, is a meal made up of small plates of dumplings and other appetizers, usually accompanied by tea. Following this beloved tradition, Shang Palace encourages guests to share the dishes amongst family and friends, enjoying an exquisite vibrant afternoon of authentic Szechuan specialties. Brunch at Shang Palace promises an enjoyable menu of colorful and fiery Chinese cuisine featuring an unlimited choice of the famous dim sums.

Start your week with the Sunday BBQ Shaokao

Shang Palace invites guests and foodies from around the world to experience their famous BBQ Peking Duck, a Chinese delicacy that will be the star of the restaurant’s new Sunday offering, BBQ Shaokao.

Diners can visit Shang Palace on Sunday evenings to rediscover the iconic dish cooked in three different styles: traditional, tea-smoked and Cantonese. The BBQ Duck will be served with pancakes, hoisin BBQ sauce, cucumber, leeks, and spring onions, while other Chinese BBQ specialties will also be available. Executive Chef Keith Yeap will expertly orchestrate the event and showcase his fine culinary talents through this delectable dining experience.

Guests can indulge in Shang Palace’s signature item in new, re-imagined ways as conceptualized by Chef Keith’s innovative technique and passion. Drop your anchor at The Waterfront Kitchen, where life aboard a luxury yacht combines with inspired cuisines from around the world for an extraordinary culinary adventure. The perfect location for a gathering with the family, The Waterfront Kitchen presents an interactive dining experience to both hotel and visiting guests. An exceptional team is on board to serve up an exquisite spread ranging from classic breakfast favourites including fresh juices and smoothies, fruits, cold cuts, freshly baked croissants and healthy bowls cooked to order. The multi-kitchen cooking stations feature a spectacular buffet and a multi dining experience, adding a theatrical flair to the upper deck to impeccably showcase different flavors every day of the week. Guests can settle in with and gaze out to the glittering Red Sea or dine near the stations to stay closer to the action and be rewarded with a unique vantage point. Breakfast is available every day from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a rate of SAR 175 per person and Lunch from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a rate of SAR 220 per person.
