The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has introduced a self-service option for individuals wishing to import personal vehicles through its land and sea customs ports. This new feature allows users to submit the necessary documents and complete the entire import process directly on the ZATCA website.
To begin the process, individuals must first register on the ZATCA website (zatca.gov.sa). Once registered, they can choose the ” Vehicle Import for Individuals ” service, create a new request by entering the vehicle details, customs declaration, uploading required documents, and submitting the application. ZATCA clarified that using this service is optional and not mandatory.
A User Manual for the service is available on the website, providing a detailed explanation of the steps required for submitting personal vehicle import requests. Additionally, individuals can review the import regulations and requirements through the dedicated section on the ZATCA website.
This development is part of ZATCA’s ongoing efforts to streamline customs procedures, improve the efficiency of services, and ensure a smoother and more flexible customs clearance process for individual importers.
For any inquiries regarding this service, ZATCA has encouraged individuals contacting via the unified call center number (19993), which is available 24/7, or through the “Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs” account on X platform (@Zatca_Care), e-mail (info@zatca.gov.sa), or instant conversations through the ZATCA’s website (zatca.gov.sa).
