First-Ever Edition of Red Sea International Marathon to Kick Off in Jeddah

The Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation and Sports Hub, a leading Saudi sports company under Leejam Group, have announced the launch of the Red Sea International Marathon, the first-ever international marathon to be held at Jeddah’s ROSHN Waterfront in January 2025.
The event is part of relentless efforts to transform Jeddah into a major regional sports hub and position it on the global sporting map.
The event was unveiled at a press conference held on Sunday in Jeddah, attended by dignitaries and decision-makers from various sectors.
The presser saw an agreement being signed between the Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation and Sports Hub to jointly host the marathon and collaborate as strategic partners to enable and support the race.
The Red Sea International Marathon in Jeddah aims to strengthen community bonds by inspiring different segments such as schools, universities, corporates and families. The event will be accompanied by a host of other activities that include Kids Runs and Family Walks, offering an inclusive experience for all members of the society.

The marathon is set to attract numerous local and international runners, thanks to Jeddah’s unique location on the Red Sea coast, its major landmarks, world-class facilities and amenities, in addition to the pleasant December weather that’s ideal and safe for outdoor sports.
