Forged out of a love for French patisserie, Myra is a lively, reimagined concept with a modern twist created by Kraiv and designed by Strata Design Studios based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Launching 20th December 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Myra will burst onto the burgeoning culinary scene as a delightfully unexpected combination of ‘must-have’ French favourites with bright and bold creations.

Providing a selection ranging from sugar-filled powerhouses to savoury delights that captivate the senses, Myra encourages guests to bite off more than they can chew, boasting indulgent and unique offerings available all day, for visitors to indulge at any hour. Aiming to revolutionise how customers will buy from Myra, the concept will have a drive thru shop and a click and collect function, adapting to a more agile and dynamic environment of the fast paced, modern life in The Kingdom.

Myra is a destination where joie de vivre is served with a dash of contemporary swagger. Headed by acclaimed Pastry Chef Jonas Plangger, formerly of The Dorchester in London, Myra’s team craft fresh cakes and viennoiseries daily, fusing classic techniques with modern twists. Each confection features one-of-a-kind flavours, local ingredients and bold designs, resulting in culinary masterpieces that leave a lasting impression.

The name ‘Myra’ is inspired by the Latin word meaning ‘extraordinary’ and ‘marvellous,’ a fitting description for the gastronomic delights on offer. Also from the Greek, where Myra signifies ‘abundance,’ and Sanskrit, where it means ‘beloved,’ the new venue offers a bounty of beautiful pastries, redefining the conventionally formal patisserie experience and bringing brightness and vibrance to the everyday.

Featuring a diverse menu, Myra offers flaky croissants, decadent pastries, cakes, light starters and salads to satisfy the senses, from ‘The Classics’ to ‘Chef Jonas’ Favourites’. The unique menu brings positivity and colourful inspiration that aims to showcase cakes, croissants and beyond as more than just vehicles for butter and jam, but as something to be savoured and not forgotten.

Upon entering the patisserie through the doors, guests are invited to delve into the heart of the culinary action through an open kitchen, providing a front-row seat to the behind-the-scenes magic of pastry creation.  Myra’s playful use of light and colour will inspire and excite while celebrating the delicate and subtle art of patisserie.

With a spotlight on the patisserie, Myra will serve a supporting cast of drinks and delights to assuage hankerings day or night, including artisanal coffee, premium teas, cold-pressed juices, and protein shakes.  The drive-through patisserie is open until midnight and for those seeking an effortless way to enjoy the delectable treats, Myra offers a Click & Collect service, inviting pastry lovers to browse the tempting selection online, choose their preferred pickup time, and enjoy a seamless, contactless experience.
