Emirates celebrated the Holy month of Ramadan with a special sohour event hosted by Jabr Al-Azeeby, the airline’s Vice President for Saudi Arabia, where he discussed Emirates’ operational updates in the market, in addition to the latest trends that have shaped the travel and tourism industry. The event was held at the Four Seasons hotel in Riyadh.

Emirates has been facilitating tourism and trade in the Kingdom since 1989, developing its services along with Riyadh to Jeddah, Medina, Dammam and today serves the four gateways with 65 weekly flights. The airline has also carried close to 26 million passengers to and from the Kingdom, connecting travellers to destinations across its network including to popular destinations for Saudi travellers such as Dubai, London, Paris, the Far East, United States, as well as Indian Ocean Islands like the Maldives, Mauritius and Seychelles.
Emirates’ Ramadan experience
Passengers travelling with Emirates during Ramadan and breaking their fast across all cabin classes to select destinations will receive thoughtful, nutritionally-balanced iftar meal boxes that will include light dishes and starters such as hummus and spinach bil zeit, Greek salad and cauliflower bil tahini, falafel sandwiches, pasta salad and fried aubergine with mint, zaatar chicken salad and cauliflower bil tahini, chicken musakhan sandwiches with Arabic bread, as well as staples like traditional dates and refreshing laban. A smaller box will also be served at boarding gates at Iftar time including all the essentials to comfortably break the fast.
For fasting customers on the ground and boarding during iftar time, boxes containing water, juice, a banana, and dates will be available at the boarding gates for several destinations.
Travellers can also enjoy the best experience in the sky throughout the holy month with Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment, which features special religious content including Hadeeth Al Emam Al Tayeb, Nawafez Aala Al Hayat, Qu’ran Mubeen, Deen Al Tasamoh, Meythaq Al Hayat, Mahe Ramadan (Urdu), Ramadan Ki Fazilat (Urdu), Noor E Ramzan (Urdu) and Niyamat – E – Ramadan (Urdu). The Holy Qur’an is also available on ice.
