Adventure Activities

 With lakes, valleys and mountains, Canton de Vaud is the perfect backdrop for adrenaline junkies. Paragliding enthusiasts can take off at Skypassion in Noville, with both single and tandem flights available

 

Plateforme 10

After a decade of planning, the new cultural destination, Plateforme 10, has opened in Lausanne, Canton de Vaud, The Lake Geneva region. It is home to three museums, each with their own distinct identities: the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (fine arts- Now Open), the mudac (design and applied arts- opening fall 2021) and the Musée de l’Elysée (photography- opening fall 2021) and Located next to the train station, it is also a living space that hosts restaurants, relaxation areas, boutiques and bookshops. The 22,000 sq. metre Plateforme 10 complex aims to attract a diverse group of visitors from across the world. It is hoped that the new art district will attract around 200,000 visitors a year. Plateforme 10 will also house the Toms Pauli Foundation (a collection of ancient tapestries and modern textiles) and the Félix Vallotton Foundation  works by the Lausanne-born artist

 

A Stroll through Morges

Located just 15 minutes by train from Lausanne and 30 minutes from Geneva, lies Morges, one of the prettiest towns on Lake Geneva. The heart of the old town, Grand Rue is car free with small boutiques, artisan stores, and galleries. The town hall is the oldest building in Canton de Vaud and is where Audrey Hepburn was married in 1969. Morges is most famous for its spectacular Tulip Festival, held between the end of March and mid-May. A sea of 190,000 tulips is displayed featuring over 300 varieties. For the serious gourmet, a three Michelin star restaurant at L’Hotel de Ville In Crissier, can be found nearby

 

Goldenpass Panoramic

Immerse yourself in breathtaking scenery in one of the most ultra-modern trains. In addition to being extremely comfortable, the trains are fitted with panoramic windows for excellent views of the nature outside. Once you have climbed aboard, the train seems to almost disappear, allowing you to be one with the landscape.  Tip: book the VIP seat at the front of the train for an even more memorable experience

 

Chaplin’s World

Music lovers will be delighted to learn that throughout 2020, Chaplin’s World, the only museum dedicated to Charlie Chaplin, will celebrate the music of Charlie Chaplin, giving visitors a chance to experience a range of tributes to Chaplin the artist, composer, and musician. Starting in March, the Manoir de Ban will house the temporary exhibition “The Sound of Chaplin”, curated by the Paris Philharmonie and presented exclusively in Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland
